$3,500 raised for MS

A team of Velradians (James Bashforth, David Stapley, Glyn East and Rebecca Lucas) recently took part in the Ocean Ride for the MS Society on Sunday, 23 October.  The team successfully completed the 50km course from Pickled Fig Café, South Beach to Hillarys Beach Park. This year, the team raised over $3,500.

"The MS society has helped friends of mine from Sydney and continues to do great things in WA.  Fundraising supports the local MS community and assists in research worldwide.  This was a good opportunity to give back to a worthy cause,"  Bashforth commented.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common disease of the central nervous system for young adults, affecting 18,000 ordinary Australians, and more than 2,000 Western Australians.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia (Inc.) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support and care to the thousands of Western Australians living with MS. Individual and corporate donations are critical to ensure the physical and emotional needs of its Members are met every day.

All monies raised through Ocean Ride for MS will remain in Western Australia to support local people through their personal MS challenge.
