Over the last few years, the growing sentiment has been that healthcare systems across the world need to adapt. The new reality is that with increases in ageing populations and a declining workforce, more people will need care, and there are with fewer people to pay for and deliver this care.

At the same time, as the need increases to manage long-term health conditions over acute conditions, health consumers need to be more active in their wellbeing.  The dynamics for managing healthcare have started to change.

Because of these influences, changes in the way services are delivered are now underway and fundamental reform in healthcare is taking place.  The one key constant is better access and use of health information across health consumers, the variety of care providers, and across different service delivery models.

Velrada has been involved with lead public sector agencies in Western Australia in re-designing and delivering new services.  Velrada has worked at the heart of key agenda items that will shape new healthcare delivery into the future.  We have been involved in re-designing and delivering improvements to front-line delivery of services and improving the quality of care to health consumers.
We are currently helping our clients tackle key challenges including:

  • Delivering eHealth  - supporting the planning and transformation towards the use of Electronic Health Records, Electronic Medical Records and the Patient journey in a national context
  • Improving productivity and collaboration - using new technologies such as enterprise portals and the core components of health information exchange
  • Getting the most from Information and Technology (ICT) investments - developing architecture and programs of work create more efficient technology, with a focus on business outcomes

At Velrada, we understand the challenges that many clinicians, patients, hospital administrators, health informatics and technologists face in the journey of improving patient care and quality of service.

Our healthcare solutions are divided into three key areas:

  • eHealth - Electronic Health Records, Patient Indices and identifiers, the consumer journey and eHealth trends
  • Operational Effectiveness - using Enterprise Portal and collaboration technologies, visualisation and analytics and electronic forms, technology infrastructure planning
