Project Overview

As part of a leading global mining and resource company's move to a centralised instance of 1SAP, it's Alumina division were required to transition a number of business functions out of their local implementation of SAP into alternative technologies.  As a result, the alumina division took the opportunity to build a strategic platform with which to meet all future Worsley business application needs (outside of Enterprise Services).

Client Requirements

A leading producer of primary aluminium and alumina engaged Velrada to provide a solution that would meet three key requirements:

• Rapid, tactical remediation of 1SAP de-scoped functionality
• Manage large amounts of business information in uncontrolled Access databases and Excel spreadsheets (not supported by EDRMS)
• Strategic alignment with  global Group Corporate Standards

• Reporting Services - a suite of tools to cater for the alumina division's varying business intelligence needs - from formal reports to ad hoc analysis and managerial dashboards to interactive graphical displays
• Business Process Management - business process automation with the provision of online forms and workflow
• Master Data Management - secure and reliable access to master data from both enterprise and local divisional systems
• Software Engineering Services - enabling the Information Management team to respond rapidly to the organisation's business application needs with the provision of business focussed tools such as SharePoint  and Team Foundation Server
