Information Management ( IM)
We view Information Management (IM) as the "collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences". Through our IM Practice we focus on delivery of practical, pragmatic strategies that will help our customers reduce risk, recognise the value of information as an asset and enable implementation of sensible technology solutions that are fit for purpose.
Our IM capability encompasses areas such as:
- Roadmap and strategy
- Collaboration, Knowledge Management and Social Enterprise
- Document and Records Management;
- Digital Asset Management;
- Web Content Management.
To Velrada, IM is a business competency and a strategic approach that is vital for business success.
We focus on:
- Identifying where information has the most value;
- Identifying who uses it, why and what business decisions it supports; and
- Determination of strategies in order to best protect and realise that value
We are constantly seeking strong IM people who have typically been involved with the development of IM strategy and roadmaps in Tier 1 clients. They will have designed and seen through the implementation of solution stacks to support those strategies and have a broad knowledge of the IM tools landscape.
Typically they will have at least one platform speciality around at least one set of Enterprise IM tools, such as SharePoint, Web Sphere or Oracle Portals, Documentum or Trim.
Because we are technology agnostic, we believe the skills translate quite readily, so breadth of platform knowledge is important to us. As all-rounders, we place a strong emphasis on usability and user experience and typically, expect our people to bridge the gap between IT solutions and the Business requirements.
